Last Call from Earth  (Sci-Fi)  by Albert Herrera

Stage I, Biological Survival

Plot Outline

ACT I    (Scenes 1 to 18)

Put yourself in the future. We are not on Earth anymore.

We travel through outer space in absolute silence. We approach New Earth, a planet in a three suns system in the Andromeda
Galaxy.

Contemporary classical background music with human laments creates an ambience of sorrow.

Thirty years have passed after the supernova. We have just received the last call from Earth of those that remained there… We
couldn’t save them all.

In New Earth, Al Herr makes a presentation about our saga for survival at the United Colonies assembly.

The screen shows completely covered by snow, under the lightening of auroras borealis, the lower part of Manhattan, the Giza
pyramids in Egypt, and the Eiffel tower. The view goes up until we see the entire Earth as a ball of snow.

Al’s impacting words:  “And that was Earth”.

Al’s presentation continues, going all the way back to the very beginning:

We fly away from the Milky Way in the direction of the Triangulum Galaxy. We see an archipelago of planets in a two suns system:
Home of the Rupturians, an alien civilization.

One of the planets explodes; then another, and another, until all of them, including the two suns, explode in an immense
detonation.

The Rupturians, who flourished for over 10 million years in the Triangulum Galaxy, in a major conflict destroy themselves with the
highly destructive power of their advanced technology; only their spiritual force remains, in the form of soulstrings.

The soulstrings look like spheres of light.

Soulstrings fly in all directions of the universe looking for planets that could sustain life; they find Earth and initiate life on it.

Four billion years of evolution later.

Al meets Helen in a trip to Paris; they have a first encounter with soulstrings.

Al works for the CBRN group of the Department of Homeland Security, and Helen for NASA.

The same day, also Gucumatz and Tepeu have a first encounter with soulstrings in the Atitlan Lake, Guatemala. Gucumatz
establishes a communication with them following Mayan rituals.

Ten years later, soulstrings open a fissure in the San Andres fault, in California.  At the bottom of the fissure are the remains of a
capsule sent by the Rupturians with recordings of a supernova radiation about to hit the Earth.  An electromagnetic emission
starts to pulsate from the remains.

Michael Feijo, chief of CBRN, summons Al to examine the electromagnetic emission that is pulsating at the San Andres fault. Al
and Melina Malieva go to the San Andres fault. At the bottom of the fissure he finds six transparent, very light spheres.  With the
spheres, which are components of the Rupturian Intergalactic Internet, we learn about their civilization and gain access to their
advanced technology. We also learn about the supernova.

Helen presents first to the Chiefs of Staff and other high-ranking officials, and second to the United Nations, the recording made
by the Rupturians of the supernova that is about to hit the Earth in less than two years. We are at the verge of extinction. Our only
way out is via teleportation to planets suitable to human life in the Andromeda Galaxy, using Rupturian technology.

Technology is not a problem. Our major issue is that it will be impossible to teleport everybody out
of Earth in the short period of time we have. Who goes to safety and who stays to die?  How do we keep the peace in the
selection process?

The Human Survival Authority is created; this entity will have the support of the Super Suits Force.

The Super Suits have huge power, which they obtain by connecting to the Rupturian Intergalactic Network. In Melina’s view, even
when they report to the Human Survival Authority, at the moment of truth, who ever controls the Super Suits will be in command.

She starts her plan to infiltrate her own a group in the Super Suits Force. In her imagination, testing the Super Suits’ power, she
destroys the Brooklyn Bridge and cuts in half the Empire State building.
